About American Angel
Meet American Angel, a 2-year, 9-month-old brindle Greyhound with a personality as stunning as her sleek, dappled coat. This superstar-in-the-making may have left the track behind, but she's still got the playful energy of a champion. Angel absolutely loves toys-though the concept of bringing them back is still a bit of a mystery to her! You'll find her racing around with her toys in tow, living life on her own terms and always keeping things fun.
While Angel gets along great with medium to large dogs, she's not a fan of small dogs, cats, or other small animals, so a home without them is best. This beautiful girl is happiest lounging on the couch after a race around the yard, as Greyhounds are known for their love of cozy downtime. One walk a day is all she needs to get out, stretch those long legs, and greet the world with her signature goofy grin.
Angel walks okay on the lead, but she could use a little training to perfect her stride-nothing that some love and patience won't fix. And the best part? Angel's equally stunning sister is also up for adoption, offering double the love and double the dorky charm.
If you're looking for a couch companion with a splash of playful energy and a heart of gold, Angel is ready to race her way into your heart!
To book a meet and greet with American Angel please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
