About Sky
Requirements:
Experienced owners
Must meet all family members
Calm & quiet home
No dogs
Kids (15yrs+)
Inside only
Meet Sky,
Sky is an independent & confident girl. She is known to have a bit of a stubborn streak, and is best suited to an experienced owner. Despite her cattitude, Sky is quite friendly, albeit aloof at times, she is playful, social and loves to chat to you through out the day.
Sky is best suited to a calm & quiet home as she is sensitive to loud noises.
Sky is open to meet kids from 15 years & up. Reason for this is due to her confidence. You're best to think of Sky as a teenager, and we all know how short-tempered & angsty teens can be... If Sky could talk, we have no doubt that we'd here her say typical teens things like "this house is a prison", "you're not my real mum" & "talk to the paw"... And whilst she may have a bit of cattitude we can honestly & safely say that she is actually quite a sweet girl, she gives great head bunts, and will purr when you interact with her which shows us that despite her 'tough girl' exterior she is actually soft & cuddly inside & her weakness are cheek scratches...
Sky is fine to be picked up & cuddled but prefers to be on the ground, she will seek you out when she wants a little TLC but she definitely doesn't like being carried around.
Unfortunately, Sky is not suitable to live in a home with dogs or cats. She wants to be the only pet in the household.
Sky is best to live indoors only. A confident girl like Sky will surely see her leave the safety of her property. Having her outside puts her at risk of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. Sky will happily be an indoor cat & most importantly will be safer being inside, too.
Sky has low energy needs. She isn't too interested in toys, she prefers human interaction & exploring over playing with toys.
Sky is not fussy with food – she loves all food on offer including treats - she is also a clean gal, and always uses her little tray.
Staff Comments: Sky is a confident girl, she knows what she likes & how she wants it done. Food is her life. She is not a fan other other cats, dogs or loud noises. However, she is a chatty girl - so the only loud thing in her world, is actually her...

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
