About Rosita Purrez
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Calm & quiet home
No dogs
Kids (any age)
Inside only
Meet Rosita Purrez,
Rosita is a lovely, sweet & gentle girl. She is a friendly cat, who is curious about the world around her & very social. She loves to chat to you through out the day, offering soft meows & cute little chirps of endearment. Rosita is very affectionate & loves her human friends.
Rosita can be a little anxious as first, but quickly comes around after a few pats. Once she is comfortable she will purr with content & roll around offering her sacred belly to you for pats. She is best suited to a calm & quiet home as she is sensitive to noise.
Rosita is open to meet kids of all ages. She is fine to be picked up, carried & cuddled but she is not too interested in playing with toys - she loves all kinds of affection & attention, though. In addition, Rosita loves her neck & cheeks being scratched too, as well as anywhere on her body being touched & scratched.
Unfortunately, Rosita is not suitable to live in a home with dogs. She appears to be quite fearful of them.
Rosita seems fine around other cats. She was happy to interact, exchange sniffs & walk around with the cats in the cattery, but she's not dependent on having a cat companion. So, she can swing both ways - equally happy with or without a cat friend. As always, we encourage anyone who has existing cats in the home to do slow, gradual introductions.
Rosita is best to live indoors only. Her gentle & quiet nature will surely see her leave the safety of her property. Having her outside puts her at risk of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. Rosita will happily be an indoor cat & most importantly will feel safer being inside, too. Or, if you're open to the idea of a catio, she'll also like that - providing that it has a covered area to protect her from the suns harmful rays as she has a white nose.
Rosita has low energy needs. As mentioned before, she isn't too interested in toys, she prefers human interaction & will purr & roll around when patted. However, in her new home she may change her 'tude towards toys.
Rosita is not fussy with food – she loves all food offered to her, including treats & she always uses her little tray without any issues.
Staff Comments: Rosita is very sweet & curious. She loves to curl up close to you for hugs and is chatty when you go over to her condo but isn't too much of a chatter box. She seems interesting in making cat friends but doesn't seem like she wants to be more than acquaintances, she'll happily co-exist with another cat but isn't dependent on their companionship.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
