It's Jay Jay, the most dashing dachshund you'll ever meet!

This lovely boy with the soulful brown eyes, proud nose and the cutest stumpy little legs is on the hunt for a family to call his own.

JJ has the most beautiful gentle, loving nature and is just so eager to please! He loves to be loved and adores a cuddle, and there's nothing like a good tummy scratch to send him off into sighs of sheer bliss!

Jay Jay's favourite hobbies include playing fetch, snoozing in the sunshine, spending cosy evenings beside the lounge, and sniffing for possum poo among the leaves in the backyard. He's recently taken up walkies and has been enjoying the new sights and smells of his neighbourhood. JJ needs a quiet area to live in, as busy intersections and streets are scary to him.

This little trooper has come a long way from being an outdoor dog to now living the good life inside, and he's been on a fast-track to learn the house rules in his foster home and keep the good times coming. He's a good sleeper, snoozing peacefully at night in his own bed in his foster parent's bedroom, and he enjoys his two square meals a day - licking his bowl clean every time. He's never met met a snack he doesn't like, making training a treat - he learned to sit in a snap! JJ is a real people pleaser who is thriving on being told what a good boy he is - he can never get enough of that sweet praise!

There is something that JJ is not so keen on, and that is the idea of sharing his home with other dogs - he had some bad experiences with another dog in his past life and he is now looking for a peaceful home where he is the only pet. JJ would need a home with a backyard, rather than an apartment.

Life has changed so much for this little man recently and he hopes to find a supportive family who understand he may need some time & patience while he adjusts to his new home. He can be worried about being left alone, so he will need people who are home most of the time and can gradually help him with some independence training.
