About Ginger
Very much a companion dog, Ginger needs a home where there is a human with her for the majority of the day (every day), and where she is allowed inside and out (wherever the human is). She responds well to reward-based training, and this training needs to be part of everyday life. She gets scared in loud environments, or if someone yells, so a quiet home would suit her best.
She’s gets along well with the other dogs in the household (large and small) however has a tendency to be submissive. She’s very much a ‘velcro’ dog that wants to be with you all the time so if you don’t want a needy dog, or aren’t going to always be there for her she won’t suit your situation. She requires stimulation and exercise every day and without it, or if she’s left alone (even with other dogs), she can become destructive and naughty trying to find ways to occupy herself. She needs a yard with a secure 6ft fence.
She loves that her foster mum works from home and lays at her feet most of the day. She enjoys her morning, lunch and afternoon exercise and play with her foster mum. At night she likes to curl up inside and won’t go to bed or get comfortable until foster mum goes to bed too (she will follow foster mum back and forth until this happens). Ginger sleeps in her own bed in the bedroom and will sleep through the night. She hasn’t had any accidents inside, although does shed fur a lot. Ginger loves her morning and afternoon grooming out in the yard and will get excited when foster mum gets her brush out. Ginger loves being stimulated with different puzzle food delivery and playing ball with foster mum. She loves bones and is an expert at burying them. If you think your lifestyle suits Ginger, her foster mum would love to hear from you.
This gorgeous girl will require adopters who know and understand her breed. Her foster mum would love to have a chat if you would like to know any more about this special dog. To ensure a reply, please tell us a bit about yourself and your location. Interstate adoption is available at adopter’s expense. If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet before submitting your application. Interstate adoption is available at adopter’s expense
