About Shine
Shine is ready to find her new patch of grass to run on. She can be a shy girl to start with but once she’s warmed up you start to see her true loveable side.
She is working on her confidence around people and will slowly approach you in her own time.
Shine is currently in a foster home with kids, other dogs, cats and live stock. She is doing well with all these and learning from her doggy siblings. Supervision is required in a new environment of course.
She is a typical puppy and will need further training, Shine is currently learning to walk on a harness and is getting the hang of it over time.
Like a maremma, Shine will lay down and watch the birds in the yard until the other dog chase them away.

Please note that she will only be going to a home with breed experience as we want to set her up for success.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
