Barney - 8 Week Old Mastiff X (Trial)

Barney is a happy and brave 8 week old Mastiff x puppy looking for a family of his own.

Barney is lots of fun with a bold nature. He likes playing with toys and exploring the world, his little tail never stops wagging. He is always happy to meet new people and immediately wins everyone over.

Barney is friendly with other dogs of all sizes. He currently lives with a cat who he is very interested in, he mostly keeps his distance but we think he would do best in a home without cats.

Barney has been working hard on his toilet training and while he is picking this up quickly, his new family will need to continue his toilet training. As a young dog training and socialising are important to develop into a happy and well adjusted adult dog. We recommend puppy school to kickstart training.

Barney’s exact breed mix is unknown but he is expected to grow into a medium to large sized dog with medium energy.

Barney is currently an inside dog and must be allowed inside in his new home. He would love another dog as a sibling but would also be ok as an only dog if his people are home more often than not.

Barney’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Barney is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he’s 5 to 6 months old.
