About Cherry and Blossom
Cherry (all tabby) and Blossom (tabby and white) came to the rescue from an unsafe colony when they were about 4 months old. They had been around humans in their colony, but hadn't been picked up and cuddled. Understandably they were pretty scared when they came to their foster home. But at least they were safe.
They've come leaps and bounds since then. Blossom is an absolute delight. She is smoochy and cuddly and loves to snuggle up with her humans in bed. She loves nothing more than a head scritch and she will purr and purr!
Cherry still has a bit further to go. She enjoys a pat from the people she trusts when she feels like it. She likes to sit on your legs when you're in bed or curl up next to you. Bed is her safe place, and that's where she likes to get her pats.
Even though they're in their cat "teenage" phase, they play like little kittens. They will find any scrunched up piece of paper in the house, long lost cat toy, shoelace etc and chase it around like they're possessed. They're so cute to watch! They also have a toy fish they carry around the house like the brave hunters they are! They're both really tiny for their age and will probably always look like kittens.
They're fine hanging around humans in the house (and other cats). They're perfectly happy to play with each other or snooze together while the humans of the household get on with their day.
They're really attached to each other and can usually be found curled up together or playing together. We'd find it so hard to separate them. They're a great pair for anyone who might work long hours because they'll always have each other.
The most ideal home for them would be a quiet home with some adults that they can continue to bond with. They're fine with the resident teenagers in their foster home, and Blossom is happy to be picked up and cuddled by anyone she knows. Every cuddle and smooch you get from Cherry is so rewarding. It makes your heart fill up. It's an experience every cat lover should have!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
