About John
John is an absolute sweetheart who simply adores being in the company of both people and fellow felines. His affectionate nature shines through in his playful head butts-his special way of saying hello and reminding you he's nearby, ready for some love and attention. Whether he's lounging in the sun or exploring his surroundings, John is never far from those he cares about.
This sociable boy is incredibly cat-friendly and would fit right into a home with other cats, as he enjoys their companionship. He's also fantastic with kids, especially those who are happy to engage in some playtime or give him the attention he craves. John is the kind of cat who loves being the center of attention, often seeking out the nearest lap to snuggle into or getting right up in your face to make sure he's not missing out on any love.
One of John's most captivating features is his stunning eyes, which only add to his overall charm. He has a way of looking at you that makes it hard not to fall for him instantly. With his playful, in-your-face personality, John is always eager to be part of the action and will happily follow you around, making sure he's involved in whatever you're doing.
If you're looking for a cat that's full of personality, loves attention, and will always be there to brighten your day with his loving nature, John is your perfect match. This beautiful boy will thrive in a home where he can receive all the affection he deserves, and he promises to return that love tenfold!
To book a meet and greet with John please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
