About Lana
Luna was found in the pound. Scared and confused she didn’t show her true self straight away. Luna is a very loving girl. She loves her people so much and will accept cuddles and any affection. She is amazing with cats, and kids. However she is learning not to jump on them when she’s excited to see them, so smaller kids may not be suitable.
She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down. However she must not have been inside a home until now due to not being toilet trained. Her foster carer is working on this and this training will need to continue.
Ark believes she has learnt to fight for her food and what she wants because she resource guards. This is very sad to watch, however consistent training will improve this. She only shows anger towards any other dog around her if they are near something she wants to possess. Her foster carer is training her and within 5 days she has seen huge improvements in Luna. While not 100% perfect she is now sleeping with her foster dog (kelpie) and they play. Her foster carer believes with consistency and the feeling of love and a safe environment will allow Luna to feel relaxed and calm without the need to resource guard.
Preferably she would be best being an only dog. However with patients and training she will eventually show no to little resource guarding aggression to dogs.
Based on her age Ark and the vets assume she will remain a small dog. She appears to have a mixture of Koolie and terrier.
With basic training Luna will become a very obedient dog. She is already showing signs of listening well for her age. She loves her humans and will do anything good to gain praise and love from them.
This beautiful girl deserves a loving home. Is that you?
