About Lexi
Lexie is a beautiful eighteen month old German Shepherd who is needing to be rehomed due to her families living arrangements changing.
Lexie is great with the owner's four and six year old child but we wouldn't recommend younger children unless they have recently lived with another large breed dog.
Lexie would thrive in a home that can provide her with a landscape to explore and enough room to stretch her legs. She has a high ball drive and loves retrieving games.
Lexie requires an experienced German Shepherd or large-dog breed owner who will place structure in her life and maintain boundaries to help her develop confidence in her new environment and human interactions.
Lexie is not suitable to go to a home with cats or pocket pets.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the energy to give me a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Lexie" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Lexie. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
