Hi, I’m Melody! I am a super friendly girl who’s full of fun! I love cuddles and playtime. I have fun playing with toys and climbing the cat tree.

I can be a bit shy when I first meet someone but my Foster Mum says not to worry because I am so cuddly and sweet when I get to know you. I love my food and have perfect litter tray manners.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I am comfortable living with children as long as they are gentle with me. A toddler often plays with me and I love playing with her.

Foster Mum has introduced me to her cats and we all live happily together. I’d be happy to have a feline friend in my fur-ever home!

I am living with a gentle Greyhound and a Rotti puppy has been to play with me lots. I wouldn't mind living with dogs as long as they were kind to me.

Likes / Dislikes
I LOVE my food and Foster Mum says I am not fussy. Some of my favourite things are balls to play with, a soft blanket to curl up on and someone to cuddle up to and make a fuss of me.

As I am still little, I can be nervous if there is too much noise in the house or a lot of people and I will hide away.

My PURR-fect home would be somewhere with a family who will spoil me with lots of love and cuddles. I would like to have a companion cat or dog to keep me company. I would love to have toys for me to play with, somewhere warm for me to sleep peacefully and where I can feel safe.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Melody was exposed to Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. She did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.

Melody was exposed to the Feline Coronavirus which is a common virus that cats are exposed to. Cats that contract Feline Coronavirus are generally asymptomatic or have mild diarrhoea. There is a small chance that Feline Coronavirus can mutate into Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Until recently, FIP was considered to be a fatal disease however recent advances in veterinary pharmaceuticals means that there are some experimental treatment options available that have had success in treating FIP. Risk of Feline Coronavirus mutating to FIP can be reduced by making sure your cat has regular health checks and vaccinations, high quality nutrition, keeping cat numbers in the house low, and attempting to keep the environment as stress free as possible.
