About Buddy
Meet Buddy a lovely one year old German Shepherd who is urgently needing a new home as his owner has had to move home.
Buddy is great with kids of all ages, other dogs and has even been introduced to pocket pets and is very respectful around them. He has not been tested with cats. Due to his young age Buddy does have a tendency to jump up on you but we are working hard at preventing this. Whilst with his foster carer, Buddy is happy to walk off-lead by your side, which is quite impressive for a young dog. Watch his video.
Buddy has a long coat and will require regular grooming to keep his skin and coat healthy and prevent matting.
Buddy will shower you with love and companionship in abundance once he connects with and trusts you.
Buddy is currently available for adoption in NSW, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making Buddy a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing Buddy back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.
To apply for Buddy, please either click on the link "Enquire about Buddy" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
