Meet Berry Bear, a stunning and intelligent Kelpie x with a heart full of joy and a boundless love for playtime.
At a mere 17 kilos,our light weight red and tan sweetheart is a small med size who will make a wonderful family addition
Her sleek, shiny coat and bright, expressive eyes are just the beginning of her charm. Berri Bear’s Favorite pastime is chasing after a ball, showcasing her agility and enthusiasm with every leap and bound. Friendly and affectionate, she quickly becomes the heart of any gathering, winning over everyone she meets with her playful spirit and gentle nature. Whether she’s fetching a ball or snuggling up for a cuddle, Berri’s presence brings warmth and happiness to all around her.
Berry has a few Favorite things that make her tail wag with excitement:
Her absolute Favorite activity is playing fetch. She loves the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of bringing the ball back (not necessarily to you, but she does bring it back).
Berry has a soft spot for tasty treats
After a day full of play, Berry enjoys snuggling up with her Favorite humans, basking in the warmth and comfort of their company.
Being a smart Kelpie, Berry loves the mental stimulation of learning new commands and tricks. It keeps her sharp and happy.
Berry, like any Kelpie, can be a rewarding experience due to her intelligence and eagerness to please. Berry is a very intelligent dog and will not take her long to take in commands once presented with consistency and positive reinforcement.
Kelpies are highly intelligent and need mental challenges. Incorporate puzzle toys, agility training, and new tricks to keep them engaged and prevent boredom.
Berry Has had a few int4sactions and playdates with other dogs that have gone very well. As all young Kelpies go, the play was full of fun . chase and heel nips lol
We have not tested her with cats
Berry’s independence is one of her standout traits, typical of the Kelpie breed.
Berry is quite capable of entertaining herself, especially with her toys. She doesn’t always need constant attention and can find ways to stay busy. Her intelligence means she can figure out how to get what she wants, whether it’s finding a way to reach a toy or opening a door. This makes her both clever and resourceful. She is perfectly fine to be an only child dog in the home
Berry’s independence comes with a strong sense of confidence. She’s not easily intimidated and can handle new situations with poise. She loves to explore her surroundings, whether it’s a new trail or a different part of the yard. Her curiosity drives her to investigate and learn about her environment.
While she enjoys her independence, Berry also values the bond with her humans. Training helps strike a balance, ensuring she listens and follows commands while still enjoying her autonomy. Berry can handle being alone for reasonable periods, making her a good fit for households where she might need to be by herself occasionally. However, she still thrives on regular interaction and companionship.
Berry loves finding the coziest spots. Whether it’s a sunny patch, or a comfy space, she knows how to make herself comfortable. She tends to follow a routine, often settling down for a nap after a good play session or a meal. This helps her stay well-rested and ready for more fun. As a Kelpie, Berry is naturally alert, even when she’s sleeping. She might wake up at the slightest noise, ready to investigate or join in the action.
Berry enjoys snuggling up with her favorite humans. She finds comfort in being close to you, especially during the night or after a long day of activities. While she loves being close to her family, Berry also appreciates having her own space to retreat to when she wants some quiet time.
Berry is taken on daily walks to provide physical exercise and mental stimulation as she explores her surroundings.
Berry loves playing fetch with a ball as it burns off her energy.
Berry sleeps in a fully enclosed decking area, sheltered from the weather, in several different things, a bed, a kennel and a dog crate.

Ideal Home- Adoption Criteria
Berry Bear requires a medium large, secure yard where she can run, play, and explore freely. This gives her the space she needs to burn off energy.
A family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, running, and playing fetch would be perfect. Berry thrives on physical exercise and mental stimulation.
Family Who are willing to spend time training and playing with Berry. Her intelligence means she needs regular mental challenges to stay happy and healthy.
While Berry is independent, she also loves being around her humans. A home
Access to other friendly dogs for socialization and playdates or if another dog in residence we are seeking a well socialized male of great energy and tolerance of other dogs
Children in the home would be great as she adores them
Since Berry isn’t a total inside dog, having a comfortable outdoor shelter where she can rest and stay protected from the elements
