Nessie is a lovable Labrador x Border Collie mix with the softest fur you'll ever touch and a personality that instantly melts hearts. This sweet and affectionate girl is a true cuddle bug who relishes nothing more showing her family how much she adores them. Nessie weighs in at just 25 kilos so a perfect medium size girl for a fun loving family.
Nessie's playful spirit shines through her love for all kinds of games. Whether it's a high-energy game of chase with a ball, a spirited round of tug-o-war, or simply some fun with her beloved stuffed toys, Nessie is always up for an adventure. Despite her playful nature, she's also incredibly people-oriented; she'll happily greet every passerby with a wagging tail, hoping for a pat or belly rub. While she is excellent with children, she is best suited to homes with older kids who understand and respect her boundaries, especially since she can get a bit jumpy when excited.
Beyond her charming antics, Nessie boasts some basic skills such as sit, drop, and shake, and her food motivation makes training a breeze. She enjoys her daily walks, albeit she can be a bit strong on the lead and may require some extra training to walk perfectly by your side. Nessie is best suited to a home where she can be the only dog, as she likes to be possessive over her things and humans.
Nessie is also a seasoned traveler and delights in car rides, often enjoying the scenery with her head out the window. She is comfortable being left home alone while her humans are working and school chores lol ,and self entertaining with her toys like Kongs to prevent boredom-induced chewing. Despite her occasional mischievousness, Nessie is completely toilet trained and prefers sleeping inside, embodying the essence of a couch potato.
We have introduced Nessie to other dogs and she loves to engage in play . However when residing with another dog she did display possessive behaviors over the couch and toys so we are seeking an only dog home for our gorgeous girl When seeing other dogs on walks Nessie gets very excited to say hi so she will require some further lead training to keep this in check.
When it comes to grooming, Nessie is relatively low maintenance. She behaves well during baths but isn't a big fan of the hair dryer. Her current diet consists of dry food and, in true Labrador fashion, she isn't the least bit fussy about her meals.
Nessie is eagerly waiting for a loving home where she can share her snuggles, playfulness, and affection. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet, and delightfully goofy companion, Nessie might just be the perfect addition to your family.
Adoption Criteria
A home with a nie size secure yard with shade and shelter and grass for play
A home that will take Nessie on walks and play with her
A home with children is great but we do seek mature children that are dog savvy and can help teach her not to jump up for cuddles
We have not tested her with cats
