About Charlie, Harper, Molly & Princess
Charlie, Harper, Molly, and Princess are a delightful quartet of lively, inquisitive, and engaging female rats who will capture your heart with their charming personalities. If you're looking to bring some joy and mischief into your home, these energetic girls are the perfect addition. Though they look similar, you'll soon discover their individual personalities and quirks.
Charlie, Harper, Molly, and Princess are incredibly curious and love exploring their environment. Their natural curiosity and intelligence makes each day an adventure. They can't resist investigating every nook and cranny of their space, and relish having new problems to solve. These girls are also quite the acrobats and climbers. You’ll often find them scaling the heights of their cage, thoroughly enjoying their hammocks where they can lounge and observe their surroundings after a long day of being adorable.
Because these four girls are still learning what humans are all about, they're looking for a home without children that may accidentally frighten them. Like most rats, they're not fond of cuddles, but with time they may grow to trust you enough to run up your arm or rest in your sleeve. They will need kindness and patience to help build their confidence. If you have cat or dog family members, please put thought into how you will keep them safely away from the cage.
If you're looking to bring a pre-bonded group of rats into your home and think that you can keep them happy and entertained for the rest of their lives (1.5-2.5 years), please send us an enquiry and we'll get back to you as soon as possible and get these lovely gals into their forever home.
Charlie, Harper, Molly, and Princess will be treated with a parasite preventative prior to adoption. As they have come out of a research facility, they are free of the same respiratory issues that other rats and mice have -- they must be kept isolated from them to maintain this health benefit.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Must be kept isolated from other rats and mice as they are free of Mycoplasma Pulmonis.
Adoption details
All of our animals are seeking indoor only homes. We do not adopt out any animal to live alone (excluding entire male mice). If you do not have one or more compatible animals of the same species, you must adopt a bonded pair or group.
Once you apply to adopt, we'll talk with you about proper care of the animals you're looking to adopt, discuss any concerns you or we might have, and tell you more about our available animals. Using the application form on our website will ensure that you don't leave anything out.
Otherwise, please include as much detail as possible about your situation, other animals, experience with the species you're looking to adopt, and intended housing/diet when you apply. If there's a particular vet clinic you intend to use, please tell us the name (otherwise we can help you locate one that is knowledgable in small animals).
As part of the adoption process we require photos of a complete, suitable set up. We suggest contacting us prior to buying any cages or items for your new family members as many sold for small animals are not appropriate. We've also outlined our housing expectations on our social media, but don't be intimidated! We are here to help, not judge.
At the time of adoption, you'll be asked to pay an adoption fee and sign an adoption form. You'll receive an adoption packet including a detailed care guide for the species you've adopted, an adoption certificate, and any relevant veterinary records (proof of vaccination and sterilisation, microchip details, etc).
