About Lexi
Meet Lexi - Your Future Feathered Friend!
Lexi is a stunning 10-year-old Alexandrine Parrot who came into our care as a stray. While she's still a bit aloof and reserved, we believe her true personality is waiting to shine in the right home. With time, patience, and understanding, Lexi has the potential to become a loyal and playful companion.
As she's still learning to trust, Lexi would do best with an experienced parrot owner who understands her unique needs and can help her feel comfortable and secure. She needs a large safe space to be able to stretch her wings and be enriched.
Basic Care for Alexandrine Parrots:
Diet: Lexi needs a balanced diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, high-quality pellets, and seeds. Fresh water should always be available.
Social Interaction: Parrots thrive on social engagement. Lexi will need plenty of time outside her cage each day for interaction and enrichment, even if she may take some time to warm up.
Enclosure: Her cage should be spacious, with toys and perches to keep her mentally and physically stimulated. Regular cleaning is essential for her health.
Veterinary Care: Routine check-ups, including beak, nail, and feather care, are important for her overall well-being.
Mental and Physical Exercise: Alexandrine Parrots love to chew, so Lexi will appreciate bird-safe toys to satisfy her natural instincts.
If you have experience with parrots and the patience to let Lexi come out of her shell, she could be the perfect feathered friend for you!
