About Eddie
Meet Eddie, an endearing and charismatic guinea pig who's bursting with personality! This big boy has no qualms about letting you know if you are late with his dinner and will keep you entertained with an array of squeaks, wheeks and chirps. With his beautiful long fur bouncing with every excited bounce and sassy head toss, Eddie is sure to command your attention. He absolutely loves tunnels!
Eddie is looking for a home where he can settle in with another guinea pig or two, and where he'll be given all the attention he desires. Like most guinea pigs, Eddie doesn't love being picked up, but he does sit patiently for the occasional gentle pet. With time, we think that this friendly boy will learn to enjoy more affection.
Eddie may be suitable for a home with older children. If you have cat or dog family members, please put thought into how you will keep them safely away from his enclosure. Eddie's luscious locks will need regular grooming to keep him clean and comfortable.
Are you looking to expand your existing guinea pig family and think that you can provide Eddie with a loving home for the rest of his life (4-6 years)? If so, send us an enquiry and we'll get back to you as soon as possible to get this special boy adopted!
Eddie will be microchipped prior to adoption, and you will receive proof of this procedure. We kindly ask that after adoption we be permitted to remain an emergency contact on his microchip in case you are ever unreachable for any reason. He will also be treated with a parasite preventative.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
All of our animals are seeking indoor only homes. We do not adopt out any animal to live alone (excluding entire male mice). If you do not have one or more compatible animals of the same species, you must adopt a bonded pair or group.
Once you apply to adopt, we'll talk with you about proper care of the animals you're looking to adopt, discuss any concerns you or we might have, and tell you more about our available animals. To speed up the process, please include as much detail as possible about your situation, other animals, experience with the species you're looking to adopt, and intended housing/diet when you apply. If there's a particular vet clinic you intend to use, please tell us the name (otherwise we can help you locate one that is knowledgable in small animals).
As part of the adoption process we require photos of a complete, suitable set up. We can provide care advice, and suggest contacting us prior to buying any cages or items for your new family members as many sold for small animals are not appropriate. We've also outlined our housing expectations on our social media, but don't be intimidated! We are here to help, not judge.
At the time of adoption, you'll be asked to pay an adoption fee and sign an adoption form. You'll receive an adoption packet including a detailed care guide for the species you've adopted, an adoption certificate, and any relevant veterinary records (proof of vaccination and sterilisation, microchip details, etc).
