Meet Tonka!🐶
Hi, my name is Tonka! I’m a handsome boy with beautiful markings; I’m looking for a new home through no fault of my own.
I’m a smart dog who knows commands like sit, stay, drop, and shake paws. I walk well on a lead, although I might pull a bit if you let me. I take treats gently and don’t have any resource guarding issues with food or toys. The assessor even removed my food bowl while I was eating, but you’ll have to be quick because I eat really fast!
Before I went to my foster home I hadn’t been walked for a couple of years, so I was a little out of practice with socialisation, now I am fine walking past other dogs, but I don’t like dogs rushing up at me, that’s just rude and all dogs will agree with me about that!
Even though I used to live with two other dogs, I now need to be the only dog in the home to ensure I can feel secure and happy. SRV wants to make sure I settle well and find my forever family, and so do I because I want my next home to be my last! So PLEASE don’t ask if I will suit living with your dog!
I’m okay with teenage children, but young children make me feel uneasy. I’m also scared of fireworks, storms, and vacuums, but I’m a loving boy who’s eager to please. With patience and guidance, I will be your perfect companion. I love cuddles, sitting watching TV with you, going for walks, or to the beach or river, I’ve even been on a boat whilst in foster care.
If you’re looking for a loyal cuddle buddy it’s me, I’m now ready to find my loving forever family.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
