About Arty
Arty loves being told he's beautiful. He's a gentle, smoochy and sometimes shy pooch. He also loves butt scratches, if you scratch his butt, you'll become his best friend!
Our team describes Arty as a delicate little flower as he is a pretty quiet snoot. He gets excited for walks, and lovesss a long walk in the morning and a shorter one later in the day. Other than that, he snoozes most of the time!
He loves to play with his toys inside and he’s just starting to zoom in the backyard a little. A backyard isn't necessary for Arty as he is also used to apartment living.
Arty's perfect day would be going for a big walk to a cafe and sharing a muffin, finding some greyhounds on the way home to say hello, and then snoozing most of the day, with some cheese treats after dinner!
Arty is good with other dogs, though he can be a bit weary of small yappy dogs, same goes for small yappy children. He is getting braver in trusting other people and letting them pat him. Like most greys, sudden loud noises will frighten him a little.
Arty is a gorgeous gentle boy, and would love a family to help him come out of his shell even more! If you're looking for a quiet dog, who chills a lot with short bursts of energy... look no further than Arty Farty!

STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:

If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
