About Mickey
PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Mickey is a 4-year-old male Maltese x. He is a lovely handsome boy. He is friendly, however can sometimes take some time to warm up to new people especially males but give him a little time and treats he will be your friend for life and soon wanting to sit in your lap for cuddles.
Mickey is doing well in his foster home and can use the dog door.
Naturally your home will be a new environment so you will have to set Mickey up to succeed in this regard. Advice can be given if needed.
He loves a good walk so will need a home that can get him out for one or two walks a day.
Like most Maltese terriers, he takes his watch dog responsibilities very seriously, however, soon settles and is not prone to barking of a night.
He sleeps in his bed in his carer's bedroom quite happily but does like to sneak up to sleep on their bed during the night, so a home that would be ok with this would be the best fit.
Like all of our dogs he must have access inside at all times and be permitted on the furniture, as cuddles are his favourite thing with his people.
Whilst Mickey is in care with other dogs, he maybe suited to a home without another dog provided his new owner was home more often then not, that way Mickey would also get all of the attention.
His carer believes that Mickey would be ok a home with older children provided they were kind, gentle and respectful of animals.
If you would like to meet Mickey please send us some details about yourself, home environment, lifestyle, other pets (if any), your family members, your daily activity level, Mickey's potential alone time, home access, contingency plans for when you're away, and your ability to cover vet expenses. Plus, any other details that may assist in a successful adoption.
