Dory

Say hello to this bundle of love, Dory, a Border Collie x Heeler. Mix This playful, sweet pup is always ready for cuddles and affection and has the cutest booty shake when she’s excited to see you. She loves laying in her sandpit after the sun has warmed it up, perfect for an afternoon snooze.
Dory thrives on interaction with her humans and foster brother. While always up for a play and cuddle, she just as easily enjoys chilling and observing her favourite people and animals. She adores sifting through her foster brothers toy box, moving from soft to more hardier toys that keep her mind stimulated and her tail wagging. Dory is well-mannered on her walks, enjoying a relaxed stroll as she takes in the delightful outdoors smells. She can get a little hesitant around busy main streets, but with some encouragement and patience, she’s been making great progress. Dory is a gentle natured pup who’s open to pats from anyone she meets. Cue the booty shaking! With her foster brother on the other hand, she loves play-wrestling, running around the backyard and sharing toys.
With a high food drive, Dory is a quick learner, progressing well with learning to sit and recall when spoken to. She’s very well-mannered indoors, choosing to approach her humans for kisses and cuddles, otherwise as equally content finding a nice cozy bed to lay on. She’s still working on toilet training, though sleeps through the night without any accidents. Her humans have found that fluffy beds seem to be her preference for going toilet indoors therefore she’s easy to please with a plain bed to lay on.
This spirited pup has so much to offer her future family, from playing with toys, running around the backyard or going for daily walks, she’d fit in well with an active family. Her ideal home would be one with humans who have the time to continue her progress with training, plenty of activity and stimulation and a decent-sized backyard to run around in. Dory has not had any interaction with young children or cats, however she does have so much love to offer, so another dog she can snuggle and play-wrestle with would be a bonus.

Adoption Criteria
A home with a med to large yard with secure fencing ,shade and shelter and grass to play on
A home with another dog would be great but not essential but if another dog in the home we seek a fun loving Male
We have not tested her with cats
Children in the home would be great but we would be seeking dog savvy children of school ages
