Gorgeous little Ari is a 6-month-old male German Shepherd who was found as a stray and never claimed. This sweet baby boy has recently been busted out of the pound and has spent time in a loving foster home, he is ready to find his forever home and start bonding with his new family.
Ari is a shy little man, he is underconfident and a little unsure at times and needs lots of encouragement and reinforcement to be brave. Ari is being exposed to new environments, scenarios, and people and is taking it all incredibly well, he will seek reassurance from his humans and is coming out of his shell more and more each day. Ari will need ongoing positive exposure to the world around him, ensuring he has good experiences that will help to boost his confidence.
Ari starts out shy at first, but does enjoy human interaction, he can be a little worried initially with men but warms up once he knows he is safe. Ari is currently in foster care with young children who are very respectful of his space, he is happy to co-exist with them and hang out. Ari would suit a calm household that will let him come out of his shell and interact in his own time, once he trusts you, he is an affectionate little cuddle pot.
Ari loves other dogs and really relies on them for confidence, he follows his doggy foster brother everywhere and takes cues from him in different scenarios. Ari would love to live with another dog in his new home, a friendly dog that is happy to take him under their wing and play whilst also enforcing boundaries.
Ari has not been tested with cats; with slow introductions, boundaries and separation, Ari may be able to live in a home with a feline friend.
Ari hasn’t had much training; he is learning everyday and has picked up toilet training like a champ but will need ongoing training and socialisation in his new home. As Ari grows and gains confidence, he will test boundaries and show some typical teenage puppy behaviours. Whilst Ari does need to learn manners and practise his obedience, the most important thing for this pup is ongoing socialisation. Right now, even though he is scared, Ari has a sweet temperament with other animals and new people, he needs to continue to get out and about, having positive interactions so that he can overcome his fears and grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.
Ari will not do well being left in a backyard by himself, he wants to be with his people and loves the company of other dogs. Ari is getting used to the car and would love to be included in family adventures and daily outings. Ari will need plenty of exercise as an adult dog and is looking for an active family, he will need to be provided with mental enrichment as like all pups, if he is bored for too long, he will make his own fun!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
