About Dr. Zoidberg
Ah, greetings, Earthlings! It is I, DR. Zoidberg, here to tell you why I, the good doctor and loving father to all the adorable beagle pups, am the perfect addition to your home!
Not only am I dashing and sophisticated-yes, I know, no need to faint-but I'm also the best doggy dad you could ever ask for. I love frolicking with my fellow canines, though my ideal home would include a lovely desexed female dog (or perhaps a chill desexed male, as long as he's not a big show-off!).
When I'm not busy exploring the universe (on walks, of course, nose first!), I enjoy cozying up with my humans. We can cuddle or just bask in the sun together-yes, just like a fine lobster on the beach.
Due to my previous career as an intergalactic, uh, hunting dog, you must keep me on a lead during walks, or else I'll be off following the trail of adventure! But don't worry, I'll still give you lots of love and loyalty. Kids over 6 who know how to respect a dignified DR. Zoidberg (especially when I'm sleeping or eating) would be my preferred crew.
So come meet me, you won't be disappointed! You'll get a stunning, loving companion who's ready to join your next space adventure-or just chill in the yard.
Why not adopt the DR. Zoidberg? Hooray!
To book a meet and greet with Dr. Zoidberg please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
