Gretel is looking for a loving family who can provide her with the perfect blend of adventure and affection. Ideally, she'd thrive in a home with a spacious backyard, where she can joyfully bring her toys outside to play and bask under a shady tree. Gretel is a clever girl who takes herself outside for toileting, making her a well-mannered and tidy companion.

Gretel is a social butterfly and loves the company of other greyhounds, often learning and mimicking their behavior, so she could be a great addition to a household with other greyhounds. That said, she would also do well as a solo dog provided she has enough enrichment to keep her stimulated. While she hasn't met many other breeds, her friendly demeanor makes her adaptable, especially in the hands of an experienced or enthusiastic dog owner willing to continue her training.

Gretel needs a family that will be home frequently to help her build confidence and independence through ongoing separation training. Her ideal family would have older children who can share in her playful energy while understanding her needs for space.

Gretel loves her walks and is excited to explore the world. She can comfortably hold her toileting for at least eight hours overnight and will give a cute little whine to let you know when she needs to go out if the door is closed. Whether in a city or rural setting, Gretel displays a courageous yet cautious approach to new experiences and crowded places.

Gretel has built a remarkable level of trust with humans and is genuinely excited to bond with her new family. She's discovered a love for toys and has shown a cheeky, playful side that continues to shine brightly. Her loyalty and affection are clear in her wagging tail and joyful demeanor when approached.
