Meet Hugo, or Yoogie as he's affectionately nicknamed, a charming Miniature Pinscher who is full of personality and ready to bring a spark of joy to his new family. At 7 years old, Hugo is a lively and energetic little guy who adores playing ball and going for long walks. Weighing in at just 5kg and residing in Bray Park, Hugo has been fully vetted, vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, and wormed. This little dynamo is all set for his new adventure!
Hugo's ideal home would be one with a secure, high fence as he is quite curious and energetic. He's great with older children (over 12 years old) and gets along well with most dogs, though he doesn’t fancy every canine he meets. It's important to clip his lead to a chest harness for his walks as he has never been let off-leash outdoors for safety reasons.
Life with Hugo is full of quirks and moments of laughter. He's fully house-trained and has a strong, cheeky personality. Hugo loves affection but on his own terms and can sometimes be a bit aloof. He may also experience separation anxiety, expressing himself with some loud screeches when you first leave the house. Despite his small size, Hugo has a big voice and isn't afraid to use it to let you know what he wants, be it a game of fetch or a cozy snuggle under a blanket.
He’s not a fan of storms or car rides, and he makes an assortment of adorable sounds to express his feelings. If you have a doggy door, note that Hugo will only use it if the flap is removed. He also has a bit of a snuffle in the mornings and likes to scratch his back along the lounge.
Hugo craves a structured routine and understands the command “who wants a snack?” well enough to come scampering from any corner of the house. He’s happiest when he's under a blanket, often standing by the couch and barking at you to cover him. Since Hugo has an allergy to Propofol, it’s essential to keep this in mind for any veterinary visits.
If you’re searching for a dedicated, lively, and uniquely entertaining companion, Hugo is the dog for you! With his strong-willed yet loving personality, Hugo is sure to make your days brighter and fuller. Ready to give this spirited Miniature Pinscher the loving home he deserves? Reach out today and make Hugo a cherished member of your family!

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
