About Halo
Halo is a sweet little girl who loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch with you. She’s loyal and affectionate, always wanting to be by your side. Not one for adventures, Halo is perfectly content to wander around the house as you go about your day, whether you’re doing chores or enjoying a movie together.
A petite little package, Halo prefers a more laid back lifestyle. She requires regular grooming and is looking for a more experienced dog home.
My Ideal Home: I would thrive in a quiet home where mom and/or dad are around most of the day, as I can experience some separation anxiety. Having had a rough start in life, I’m currently working on crate training, but I’m also happy to curl up and sleep at the end of your bed.
My Energy Level: I’m on the shy side and enjoy napping and relaxing for most of the day. I’m not a big walker and can get scared of the outside world, so I prefer to potter around indoors.
My Suitability to Children: I currently live with two kids in my foster home— a 14-year-old girl whom I adore and follow everywhere, and a 10-year-old boy whom I’m wary of. I would do best in a home with older kids or teens, as I’m not suited for families with younger children.
My Suitability to Other Pets: I have a foster Labrador sister who I get along with wonderfully! We enjoy playing with toys together, but I tire out quickly and often take a nap after playtime. I’ve heard of “cats,” but I’ve never met one, so I’m not sure how I would handle them.
Fun Fact: Halo came to us as a big furball, so we whisked her off to the groomers for a haircut. When she returned, she looked like a completely different little girl—complete with a bow tie in her hair and a definite pep in her step!

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
