About Salsa
Meet Salsa, an adorable 3-year-old Dachshund with a heart full of potential and a playful spirit. Although shy at first, she quickly reveals her outgoing and loving nature once she's warmed up to you, making her a truly rewarding companion.
Salsa's lively personality will keep you entertained with her eagerness for pats and treats. She enjoys the camaraderie of dogs her size, making her an excellent addition to a household with other small canine companions. However, she’s an untrained cat chaser who needs to be watched in a multi-pet household and kept on a lead while outside until her training is completed.
Salsa’s journey to become the best version of herself includes needing some lead and basic training, which she will likely respond to positively, with the right guidance and patience.
Her ideal day pairs a stimulating yard space where she can safely explore, sniff, and play, with relaxing time spent in the company of her loving human family. Salsa has a tendency to bark at stimulants but will settle down quickly, showing her adaptable and observant nature. She could be the perfect pup for a calm home where her sweet demeanor and playful antics can shine.

Medical notes
Salsa had a dental scale and clean while under GA. Vets also observed hind dew claws present: double claw unattached RHL and single attached LHL.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
