About Clancy
Meet Clancy, a sweet, loyal, and incredibly considerate 6-month-old German Shepherd cross Maremma boy who’s ready to find his forever home! Clancy loves nothing more than snuggling up with his humans—whether it’s curling up on the couch or sleeping peacefully at the foot of the bed. He’s a true companion, always staying close to both his foster brother (a dog) and his people.
Clancy needs a child-free home and a family that is willing to continue his behavioural training. He has shown resource guarding towards his humans, this is something Clancy's foster carer is working on with him and he needs someone that is willing and able to out in the work to continue this.
Though Clancy didn’t have much early socialization, he’s eager to explore the world with the help of a patient family who will guide him at his own pace. He’s still learning about the outside world (and cars!) and can be a bit of a scaredy cat.
Currently, Clancy is a bouncy, playful pup going through his teething stage. However, he’s incredibly considerate—he knows not to chew on or scratch your belongings or furniture, a true bonus for anyone with a tidy home! Given his energy, a home without small children would be ideal, and his forever family should have experience with intelligent big breeds like him. Clancy will thrive with consistent, daily training.
His adorable ears have just started to stand up, and based on his current size, we think Clancy will be on the larger side of the German Shepherd scale.
If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a heart of gold, Clancy is ready to bring endless joy and love into your life.
Clancy will need to be adopted into a family with a fur-sibling for him.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
