LEIA, FORMERLY BLONDIE, NEEDS TO FIND A NEW FOSTER CARER WITH VIEW TO ADOPT PREFERRED.

Victoria, we need your help again. Leia (Blondie) needs a new home!

She is a blonde Kelpie x, 3 years old (not yet desexed but will be this Thursday (26/09/24), recently saved from a rural Victorian pound. Given she is a large dog, we feel she may also have some large breed, such as Labrador, in her. We would love to find her a forever home.

We can offer foster only but the foster carer has first option to adopt. She is best to be an only dog as she just wants to be with her family all the time! She will need a property with secure fencing and will benefit from obedience classes and may also enjoy Rally-Obedience classes with you once she has settled into your home. She is very smart and eager to please so she will enjoy the mental challenge of various obedience sports.

She hasn't been around cats however in her first foster home she showed no interest in the neighbour's cat but we have no further information.

If you want a super affectionate dog to be part of your life then she is the one for you! She is a people-oriented and an affectionate girl who enjoys lounging around the house. She has basic obedience skills, including sitting and dropping.

While walking, Leia can initially be energetic, but she calms down after a short period and has shown notable improvement over the past couple of weeks. Leia is very relaxed around the home. She is placid and very well behaved, and all of her interactions with people have been very positive. She is very much a people dog and needs somewhere where she will be part of daily activities within the home. Leia will flourish with the right family because she just loves her people and wants to please them.
