Aspen is a sweet girl who enjoys playing with her toys (a ball is her favourite) followed by a nap on the couch or her bed.

She hasn’t had the best start in life and for that reason is looking for her new home where she can be the queen of her castle with no other dogs at home.

Aspen is mostly housetrained and will mostly use the dog door when she needs to go outside. And tries hard to let you know if she needs to go.

Aspen has been attending obedience classes weekly and will benefit from ongoing training. Aspen walks well on a lead, can sit, drop and stay and will wait for her food when asked to do so.

Aspen is highly food motivated which makes her training a breeze, but does require a slow feeder bowl to help remind her to chew her food, rather than inhale it. Aspen is also crate trained and will sleep through the night.

Aspen is still a young pup and loves to chew on things so lots of enrichment is a must otherwise she can be destructive and has been known to swallow things she shouldn’t.

Aspen travels well in the car and will often just lay down to have a nap.

Aspen would thrive in an environment that is able to give her time to settle in, support her quirks and be patient with her and love her unconditionally. If you are home more than you’re not, then Aspen could be your perfect companion.
