For anyone who’s ever wanted their very own house tiger … introducing the stunning Toyger (toy tiger), Amber. Did you know that there are less than 500 Toygers worldwide - so this girl is very special!

Nature
Amber is a typical Toyger - a friendly, sociable, intelligent, playful and chatty kitty who requires lots of cuddles, attention and stimulation. She has come from a very loving home where she was obviously adored so her new family will need to continue giving her lots of cuddles and playtime - she wouldn’t suit a family who weren’t home much.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Amber would need to be a solo kitty in her fur-ever home, soaking up all the love from her hoomans!

Amber has met dogs before and would be fine to live with a cat-savvy dog, with slow introductions of course.

Amber really seems to like the human toddler in her foster home so would be great with kids as long as they were gentle with her.

Likes / Dislikes
Amber’s favourite place is curled up on her humans: lap, legs, chest, shoulders, anywhere will do! She loves playing with all her toys and then finding a sunny spot to snooze away in.

She prefers fish flavoured wet food but is still getting used to biccies. She uses her litter tray perfectly.

She does get a little spooked by loud noises or people approaching her too quickly but soon settles once she realises they only want to give her pats or treats!

Amber would suit a home with someone who is familiar with the characteristics of a Toyger.

My PURR-fect home would be one where I would be treated like a queen with lots of love, attention and playtime. I’d be OK with a cat-savvy dog and/or children.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Amber’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination*, microchip, flea and worm treatment.

*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.

Medical Notes: Amber had a scale and polish in September 2024 and required extraction of a molar tooth.
