About Coco
Two-year-old COCO is a friendly and affectionate Border Collie/Kelpie/Cattle dog mix, which we call (for fun) a "Belpie Blue". He was born on 21 July 2022.
A photo of Coco's mum, Panda, is included in this profile and we can say, with authority, that she is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever had in care. We've also included a cute puppy photo of Coco.
Belpie Blues are true-blue Aussie working dogs and make great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs - and Coco is no exception. He's as smart as a whip and thrives on physical and mental stimulation - and the love and companionship of his family.
Coco was adopted from us when he was a wee pup and has grown up in suburbia as the much loved pet of a multi-generational family with two young children and another dog, an older female Border Collie.
Surrendered to us due to a change in family circumstances and through no fault of his own, Coco is looking for a second chance at a happy and safe forever home.
He is used to walking on a lead and is crate-trained. He is learning to walk off lead and is doing a great job! And he has also killed a snake! Keeping his foster carer safe. He's dog-friendly, but has had no exposure to cats.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog for Coco to play with. Coco is not suited to a solitary life in the backyard. As always, secure fencing is essential. As you know, working dog breeds can jump!
If you are interested in meeting this lovely dog and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Coco's adoption fee is $495. He's desexed and vaccinated.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
