NAME: Moe (10kg)

BEFORE RESCUE: Came to SAFE Esperance from the pound.

BREED: Terrier x
BREED TRAITS: Terriers come in all shapes and sizes and were bred for different reasons but many were for farm work or ratting. Today they are mainly companions. Terriers are generally high energy, very bright and quick to learn but can be stubborn. They have strong personalities and a sense of fun and want to be included in everything you do. Don't take on a terrier unless you really do want a companion.

ASSETS: Easy-going, affectionate, devoted, eager to please, friendly, active, intelligent and playful. He is a little shy around new people initially but has the sweetest personality once he’s comfortable and is a joy to have around.

FAVOURITE THINGS: Moe loves to get out and about for runs and loves his toys. He loves to play with balls and carries them around in his mouth. He’s very devoted and adores cuddles and naps on the couch with his person.

ENDEARING FEATURES: He’s a very smart boy who loves to play and be near his people.

OTHER ANIMALS: Moe enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and loves to play with them. He would be better suited to a dog only home as he shows a bit too much interest in the cats and chickens at his foster home.

GENERAL INFO: Moe will need some lead training and is mostly housetrained. He will need time to settle into his new routine so expect some accidents while he’s getting the hang of things! Moe is quite an active boy so will need good daily exercise and playtime. He will bark when someone is at the door. He would blossom with some training which will grow his confidence and as he’s a very smart cookie he will be a breeze to train.

ESSENTIALS for Moe:

** A loving home with someone who can be with him for part of the day or can take him with them when they go out.

** He will need daily exercise, playtime and mental activity. A home that is willing to involve him in daily activities is essential for him.

**Moe would really benefit from some training as he has missed out on a pup’s foundation work

** Moe needs a fenced, secure yard with grass and interesting things to sniff and explore.

**Moe needs to be allowed inside the home when you are there and to sleep inside at night.

Moe could live with dog-savvy, gentle children over 8 years who will be able to read his signals and engage with him on a daily basis. He would also enjoy the company of another dog in his new home, or at least have regular interaction with other friendly dogs.
