About Andy
Andy the Cat
Andy is a stunning, affectionate boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for attention. His sleek fur and mesmerizing eyes make him a beautiful sight to behold, but it's his personality that truly steals the show. Andy is a playful soul, always eager to pounce on toys, especially the ones that make noise-he simply can't resist the fun! His energy and curiosity keep him active and entertained, and he's never shy about seeking out a cuddle session when he's done playing.
What sets Andy apart is his easy-going nature. He gets along wonderfully with other cats, making him a great addition to any multi-pet household. His friendly demeanor ensures he'll quickly become a favorite among his furry companions. Andy is also adaptable and would fit into just about any home, whether it's a quiet single-person residence or a bustling family setting.
However, before heading home with a new family, Andy would love to meet the little ones in the house. He enjoys children's company but wants to make sure everyone's a good match before settling in. With his sweet nature, playful spirit, and stunning good looks, Andy is the kind of cat who brings warmth, laughter, and love to any household lucky enough to call him their own.
To book a meet and greet with Andy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
