About Freddie
Meet Freddie, the prettiest Torbie girl with a heart as soft as her multicolored fur. Freddie is a sweet and affectionate cat who adores human company. Wherever you are, you can bet she's not far behind, always wanting to be a part of your world. Her gentle and easy-going nature makes her the perfect companion if you're looking for a feline friend who simply loves to be with people.
Freddie gets along well with other cats, although she's happiest when she has her own space to relax in. If you already have a cat at home, Freddie would thrive in an environment where your other feline is content to do its own thing. She's not one for too much fuss, just a quiet companion to lounge alongside or share a sunbeam with. Children who are familiar with cats would make a great match for Freddie, but she'd prefer to meet any little ones first before settling in, just to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Her favorite place? Right next to you on the couch, snuggled up and basking in the warmth of your presence. Freddie is a lover of cuddles and will gladly share your seat for hours, making her an ideal Netflix buddy or reading companion. She's the kind of cat who makes every day a little brighter with her calm and loving energy, and anyone who welcomes her into their home will be rewarded with endless love and the joy of her company.
To book a meet and greet with Freddie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
