About Archie
Introducing Archie!
Archie is a Dachshund x (we were told Pomeranian but we're not 100%) born 27th April 2024.
Archie was brought in as an unmicrochipped stray. We soon found out his owners were the ones who organised his drop off at the facility. After talking to all parties, Archie was surrendered for rehoming.
Archie is a very sweet & snuggly boy, but he is quite timid in the kennel environment with loud noises scaring him into your arms for protection. When he is cuddling into you, he nuzzles his face into your neck and completely melts into you. Given his timidness & age we are recommending a home with children over 7yrs.
Like every pup, Archie will thrive with early socialisation and exposure to many different people, sights, sounds, and experiences will ensure he grows to be a well rounded companion.
He still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Archie will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Being young he is still growing into his personality, but this young man is a very loving pup who loves to cuddle and kiss.
Please note that if you have an existing dog in residence, we will require a meet and greet to ensure they get along and will be always best buddies. When organising a meet and greet, we will require a current vaccination certificate for your existing dog to ensure that there is no chance of infecting the pups who are currently not up to date with their vaccinations.
Archie's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Archie is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations for his age.

Archie is looking forward to meeting you and he is currently located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
