About Dusty
Meet Dusty.
Surrendered into our care a little over a month ago, this poor boy was extemely shut down and scared and it was clear to us that he was not going to thrive in the shelter environment.
Dusty spent some much needed respite time in a lovely foster home and quickly flourished in the home environment. Whilst initially a bit wary and unsure, he quickly opened up and revealed his sweet personality.
His lovely foster carer mentioned he is very smart and was very quick to learn his toilet training! They also mentioned he is not only very snuggly, but will happily go for long walks to burn all his energy!
Dusty would greatly benefit from having another dog in the home who can be his role model and show him the way. He relies heavily on companions (both canine and human) to be there for him and show him the ropes. However, he can be quite scared of larger dogs and we would recommend him going home with a dog of similar size and temperament.
Now, Dusty loves his cuddles, but young children are far too loud and overwhelming for him and he would need to go home to an adults-only household to help boost his confidence.
It's clear to us that the shelter is no place for a dog like Dusty and he desperately needs a loving home to help him flourish into the wonderful man he is.
If Dusty sounds like the man for you, come on down to North Melbourne and meet him today.
