Allow us to introduce you to our exceptional boy, Conan.
Conan is an absolute delight and embodies all the qualities that make for an ideal pet. His charming personality and affectionate nature make him a wonderful addition to any family.
Conan is an amazing boy as he has not had the best beginning to life, he has never walked and lived in a small yard but you wouldn’t know it as he really has embraced his new life of freedom and exploring the world.
You may only notice he is unsure of new things at times but he is confident enough to overcome his insecurities. He is definitely a resilient, handsome chap.

Conan has a wide range of interests that make him a well-rounded and delightful dog. He enjoys chasing the ball and running around his backyard doing zoomies, which is always a sight to behold.
Conan also loves playing with other pups, engaging in fun and energetic play sessions that keep him active and happy. And of course, he enjoys smooching with his humans, showing his affectionate side and making sure everyone feels loved.

Interaction with People Conan is a friendly and sociable boy who is always happy to greet people, as evidenced by his very waggy tail. Initially, he might be a little jumpy, but he just needs gentle reminders to keep all four paws on the floor. Conan is a big gentle giant, and we cannot find any faults with this wonderful boy.
His friendly demeanor and loving nature make him a joy to be around.

Conan is a calm boy around other dogs and tends to be more submissive than dominant. He does enjoy a good play session and we have observed that he is not overly boisterous.
We are working on teaching him that he can’t say hello to every dog he sees, but he is easily redirected when walking around other dogs.
His calm and friendly nature makes him a great companion for other pets.

Conan loves his walks and is seeking an active family who will take him out daily. He walks well on a lead and rarely pulls as we have been working hard on loose lead walking, but he does love to sniff everything.
Now that his world has opened up, he loves exploring his environment. Sometimes he is cautious around new things, but he takes it all in stride.
His love for adventure and exploration makes him an excellent companion for outdoor activities.
Conan is well-behaved and knows how to sit and wait politely for his food. He is gentle when taking food from your hand and has been fed around other dogs without any issues.
His good manners and obedience make him a pleasure to have around.
He occasionally will like to see what’s up on the kitchen bench - typical lab

Conan is comfortable spending time outside during the day without any problems.
He will initially bark until he settles into his environment, as we have found that a change in environment stresses him. However, once he is comfortable, he is fine. He is happy to entertain himself but would love the company of another dog. His ability to adapt and entertain himself makes him a versatile and easy-going pet.
He enjoys a treat filled Kong and will happy work on it till he gets every last morsel

Conan sleeps soundly all night on his dog bed. His peaceful sleeping habits ensure that everyone in the household gets a good night’s rest.

Conan is currently eating high-quality kibble and is gentle when taking food from hands. His healthy diet ensures that he stays in great shape and full of energy

Conan travels well in the car, but he can be hesitant to get in, especially the boot area. He much prefers the back seat.
We think this is because he hasn’t had many car trips in his life, but he is easily coaxed in if you sit in the back and have some tasty treats. This will improve with regular training and understanding that car trips take him to fun places, so we suggest doing car trips to parks or places to walk.

Ideal Home
Home Conan is a versatile boy who will fit into most homes easily. We are looking for a home where he will be included inside as part of the family when they are home.
A home that will continue his training and obedience is essential. An active family who will walk and mentally stimulate him daily is ideal.
A young female dog of similar size and energy would be a great companion for Conan.
Please note that no apartments or small yards will be considered for his adoption. We envision a family with dog-savvy children who can tolerate some jumpy behavior when excited.
