Sacha - 1.5 Year Old German Shepherd (On Trial)

Introducing Sacha! She’s an 18 month old German Shepherd whose loyalty is unmatched and she is the true definition of ‘mans best friend’. If you always wanted to apply for a cooking show like MasterChef but need some practice first – you’re in luck! Sacha loves to hang out near the kitchen, watching you cook up a storm and will patiently wait to taste test any and every culinary creation. She even provides feedback on what she likes and doesn’t like!

Like most German Shepherds, Sacha loves the water and the garden hose. Easily pleased, Sacha is happy chewing on sticks or butcher bones and playing with her bouncy ball and she is suitable for full time workers.

Sacha loves going for a morning walk/jog with her foster parents and while they’re at work, she makes it her job to keep the house and yard safe and intruder free. Sacha takes this job quite seriously, so she requires slow meet and greets with visitors outside of her home. She’s still learning who is friend and who is foe, so patience with her is a must.

She is house trained and sleeps in her crate all night without any issues or accidents. On the weekends she spends her days being the lap dog she is and enjoys going for walks with her new German Shepherd bestie at the oval.

Sacha can be unsure when meeting new people and dogs, but with encouragement and appropriately timed rewards her nerves subside, and her curiosity takes over. She is still a young dog and although she has been introduced to some other people and dogs, it’s important that each experience is set up in Sacha’s favour so that it provides a positive learning outcome for everyone. Sacha is best as an only dog in the interim until she settles in her furever home.

She has basic obedience training but being a young dog, she will benefit from ongoing training. Her ideal owner is someone who understands the unique needs of a German Shepherd and respects the importance of patience, training, and loving guidance. Once trust and connection are established, Sacha will provide love, loyalty, and companionship in abundance.

Sacha is in foster care in Beresfield, NSW. She is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $1000.
