Is there such a thing as the most perfect of perfect dogs who ticks every single box you can think of ???
Apart from being the most handsome boy in the WORLD ! Our beautiful Groodle boy “ Humphrey Bear aka Humphrey is the sweetest most gentle well natured and well behaved boy you could ever dream to have as a part of your family.
Humphrey is a dream for any groomer standing ever so perfectly while he has his bathing and pamper session . He adores kids, cats and dogs and actually everything to be honest. Being a Groodle he has fortunately taken the Poodle side for his coat and doesnt shed. NOTE we are ABSOLUTELY NOT saying he is a hypoallergenic dog
He is currently 21 kilos of velvety soft snuggle love

Humphrey is a loveable living teddy bear in a dog’s body. A giant lap dog at heart, this pup is ultra gentle and super-sweet and doesn’t have a single nasty or even grumpy fiber in his body. A friend to all, whether it be human, canine, feline, young or old, Humphrey doesn’t discriminate.

Although not an overly energetic boy, Humphrey is ball crazy, and will proudly prance around chewing on a tennis ball until someone wants to play fetch. He will also happily spend his time on his bed quietly deconstructing his plush toys. He also loves sticks and will “help” in the garden by pruning bushes and branches as well as “disposing” of any plastic pots that may be laying around. However, he hasn’t once touched anything inside that he shouldn’t - no shoes have been touched and no dog bed de-stuffed.

He has loved everyone we’ve seen him meet - he doesn’t jump up and is ever so gentle with children.
Humphrey does require a little lead training lol as he does want to dictate which way you go however he doesn’t pull or tug and isn’t upset by being on lead. He is keen to learn and eager to please, learning quickly to sit (yummy treats certainly don't hurt his learning progress!)

Humphrey has been living with two cats while in foster care and learned very quickly that the cats are in fact in charge! He hasn’t been rough with the cats though and also doesn’t try to get involved should they have a disagreement.
When it comes to playing with other dogs, he seems to follow their style. He will trot around the yard smelling the smells with one one of the dogs he’s been living with and will chase, tackle and tumble with the other. The only time we have heard him bark was with excitement during one of these play sessions. He is definitely the submissive one and will have his toys/food/bed or whatever stolen by any other forceful pup.

His favorite way to spend the day would be at his human’s feet. He loves to be in whichever room of the house you happen to be in (he will gladly sprawl out in the middle of the kitchen floor while you’re cooking dinner!) and you are guaranteed a cuddle if you get down to his level. Humphrey doesn’t jump up - on a human, a couch or a bed. While he is house trained, he needs to be watched for his cues as he won’t directly ask to go outside, except if he is the first one awake in the morning when he will wake you by snuffling at your face to let you know. He has been sleeping in the bedroom at night and as soon as the lights go out, he will curl up on his bed and won’t move until morning.

Humphrey is a very social boy and loves to be around people and other dogs. He’s not suited to being left in a backyard for long days alone. Humphrey should be an inside dog with regular access to outside for toilet and play. He doesn’t need constant attention but he does prefer almost constant company but he does not suffer separation anxiety he just loves to be with his humans . With this in mind, his ideal home would be one where he was rarely alone - a home where someone was home most of the time, and if there was another dog to be friends with that would be great too. Humphrey would be great for the right family, and/or would also make an ideal emotional support dog in our uneducated opinion and we base this on his beautiful temperament and manners.
Adoption Criteria
A home with another well mannered very gentle dog would be wonderful but not a deal breaker
A home with kind gentle and dog savvy kids would be great but again not a deal breaker
A home with cats is fine as he has no issues with purry friends
A home where he is not left outside for long extended hours as our precious boy enjoys the creature comforts of indoors
A home that have the time to spend with our beautiful boy and treat him as a part of the family
A home with a nice yard with grass for exploring and shade and shelter BUT as we have stated numerous times Humphrey is an indoor dog
A home that will keep him well groomed and clean
Apartment living will not be considered
