Meet Soufflé,
About: Soufflé is a gentle, agreeable & friendly little guy. He is suitable for first time owners. In addition, Soufflé is also happy, outgoing & confident.
Soufflé is fine to live in any household environment and he would love to come with you on adventures, so if you’re active & outdoorsy people, Soufflé is ready for action!
Ideal Home: Soufflé is fine to live in any property type/dwelling, and yard size is on no concern either, just as long as the fencing is secure.
Soufflé enjoys spending time outside as well as inside, so access to inside the home is ideal as he loves to engage with you.
Family: Soufflé is open to meet kids of any age – he is super social & very affectionate. He is very playful and can be a little boisterous at times.
Soufflé is fine to live with people who work full-time hours.
Furry Friends: Soufflé is dog social & is open to meet dogs. During his dog assessment he was very excited to make friends and happy to interact, but he was a little vocal from his excitement. He is very curious about other dogs and eager to meet them all.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Soufflé would go living with or meeting cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
Training & Development: Soufflé would benefit from post-adoption training, such s training at home to cover basic commands/obedience & group classes so that he can add on to the dog social skills that he already has.
Soufflé is generally pretty quiet, unless he sees a dog that he would like to meet. He will vocalise from excitement.
With more training Soufflé could be the type of dog that you could take to a dog friendly café or social setting.
Soufflé is still learning his name, but he does know how to ‘sit’ & has shown us that he is quite smart & is open to learning more commands. He also aced his behaviour assessment and our assessor states that he is a ‘bomb proof dog’ as he didn’t get miffed about any loud noises of big movements.
Soufflé is food motivated& takes them gently from your hand, having treats on hand is a great way to reward him during his training sessions too. Currently he likes liver treats & cat treats (don’t ask us why)
Soufflé will also jump up to greet you. We are working on this behaviour with him though.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Soufflé has mid-range energy levels & would benefit from exercise, walks, or play from 20-30mins every 2-3 days to keep him happy & healthy.
Soufflé walks well on a lead but does pull. He is best walked on a martingale or harness.
Soufflé doesn’t really have a favourite toy yet, but we do know that he loves personal play and thrives on human interaction. He becomes very playful when he is around people he loves.
Staff Comments: Soufflé is very sweet & affectionate. He will climb on your lap for pats & will put himself upside like a baby for cuddles. He is known to fall asleep in your arms/lap. Soufflé is also toilet trained and he even allowed us to give him a hair cut when his fur was all matted.

No known pre-existing conditions.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
