Hi, my name is Maximillion - but you can call me Max for short. I am a playful, energetic boy who had a grand total of one race start. I was very fast (for the first part of the race) but nobody told me I had to keep going in the same direction, so I decided to turn around & run back the other way just for a laugh! Can't you see that glint in my eye? I can be a bit cheeky at times but that's just because I'm pretty smart. My foster carers are amazed at how quickly I have learnt to use the doggy door (mastered it in less than 24 hours). And I am a natural born sitter too. My lead manners were close to non-existent when I first arrived but I’m pleased to say that I’ve been practicing diligently every day & now I walk nicely on a loose lead – well, most of the time….

I have an excellent appetite & am definitely not a picky eater. I will chase a tennis ball (although still not sure what I’m supposed to do with it once I’ve caught it!) but I haven’t shown a lot of interest in toys so far. I can be left on my own for short periods without fussing & I am learning how to lie down on the bench seat of a car without falling into the footwell….. My foster parents say that I am quite an affectionate lad once I get to know you.

I am now ready to interview people whose lives I think I can enrich & who can continue to guide me on how to be the bestest boy. So if you have a nice home with a small to medium sized yard in a quietish neighbourhood and you have the time to spend furthering my training, let the folks at the Greyhound Adoption Program NSW know & we can be put in touch. I would be happiest as an only pet or in the company of a mature larger breed dog – I am currently sharing a home with a gentle girl Greyhound.
