About Zuko
Meet Zuko, a two-year-old Kelpie who channels the spirit of the Fire Nation in all the best ways! This stunning boy is full of energy and absolutely loves being the center of attention. With his striking good looks and active nature, Zuko would thrive in a home where he can embrace his inner warrior-running free, going on long adventures, and exploring the world with his new pack.
Zuko's ideal family would enjoy both action and relaxation. Whether it's hanging out in the "Man Cave" after a day of activity or joining in for a chilled-out reading night, he's up for anything! Kids who are cool with bouncy, excitable energy will find a loyal companion in Zuko, though he'd love to meet them first to ensure they're the perfect fit for his pack.
Zuko is a social butterfly and absolutely LOVES other dogs. He's eager to have a canine buddy to run with, play chase, and explore the world. Meeting new doggie friends is a favorite pastime for this adventurous boy, and he's always excited to make new pals. Highly trainable and super smart, Zuko would excel in any type of dog sport or training that allows him to show off his skills. If you're looking for an active, loyal, and intelligent companion, Zuko is ready to join your team and embark on epic adventures!
To book a meet and greet with Zuko please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
