About Mildred
This bundle of love and playfulness is Mildred. She's a Rottie cross and is almost 1yr old and still very much a rambunctious pup.
She's quite clever, already learning to sit for treats and sit and wait for her breakie and dinner. She's also very good at not rushing doorways to enter or escape and doesn't bolt for the horizon as soon as she gets a chance, but she does like to explore and check out the world in her immediate surroundings. She will be quite easily trained with a little regular persistence.
She loves to accompany you everywhere, but also is well behaved by herself in the yard. She travels well in the car, but she's just a baby and needs help getting in and out of the car and even on the bed sometimes, but she's started to learn she can do these things where she starts on the floor but then hops up onto the bed, something foster dad calls jumping, it's a new invention and should only be reserved for special occasions, the rest of the time she can continue to crawl onto the bed in a very undignified fashion :p
Still being a pup she enjoys chewing things, but she's quite good and sticks to toys and when feeling a bit naughty the dog beds, but she never chews the human's things, even when shoes are readily available, just as long as she has sufficient toys available. Speaking of which she loves the rope teddys and a cool soccer ball with little grab handles all over it for her and loves to play tug, or chase the ball.
She's very friendly with other dogs and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's very interested in the little cat and thinks it's a fun game when she gets swiped at for crowding the cat too much. Mildred is very trusting towards people, but a bit cautious of new surroundings and experiences, startling easily, but then coming right back to conquer her fears.
She's a bit picky with food, unless it comes off your plate, her foster carer had to retrieve some raw onion from her last night after he accidentally dropped it on the way to the kitchen bin and she decided finders keepers! But has discovered some chicken, rice and veg roll is a hit with her and suspect most wet foods would do the trick.
Mildred is at the perfect age to adopt and train to be a loving member of your family, and being such a beautiful girl don't hesitate or you'll surely miss out!
