About Lucy Black
Lucy Black the petite little Burmese girl with the very distinctive Burmese voice. Little Lucy has been in care with us for a while after being abandoned outside with her very young kittens. Lucy has done a great job at raising her babies, but now it is time for her to find her forever home too!
Lucy lives up to her Burmese personality, she is very sweet, even natured and loveable. She has gotten a 10/10 from her carer for being patient when needing to be given medicine, wearing a cone or having to be washed.
A delight is how she is described by her carer. She loves her food, Dine please and thank you! You will find her doing zoomies and will regularly zip around the house chirping in her little voice. But she is very serious about investigating everything there is… the cupboards, the cat run and will happily scale trees if harness trained. She might be small and sweet, but our Lucy is an adventure girl!
She loves to be involved in everything and just loves to be with her humans. She tolerates the other foster cats, but her preference is to be with her human and be their sidekick in life. The ideal match for Lucy? She would be best being the only cat in your home that is a quieter space, and you have the time to treat her like the Queen she is. Remembering she was abandoned and is still learning to get over that trauma.
Due to her abandonment and exposure, Lucy has a chronic inflammatory condition called eosinophilic ulcers... basically when stressed she gets hot spots on her skin. Which being a cat, she grooms and then they itch, and she overgrooms and becomes a problem. Lucy has been treated with prednisolone from the vet, and has herbal drops in her food and a homeopathic pilule twice daily (these with the vet's approval). Her itchiness is gone and she's loving life again! The vet has recommended a low stress environment for her, with plenty of walkies, enrichment and playtime as she needs interaction to be happy.
Lucy comes with her own special bed that she has shaped into a fluffy throne, and her medication, along with ongoing support from her medical carer.
Who will be the lucky human to welcome this adventurous, sweet, and lovable girl into their home?
