About 11035 - Barry
💌❤️ VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL ❤️💌
🎺🐶 MEET BARRY 🐶🎺
I am Barry, the best friend you will ever have...
Nature
I am kind of like a dog - I like to follow you around, especially when you have food. I will meet you at the door to say hello and walk ahead to show you to the kitchen. When you lay down to sleep, I will make my way up to the bed and find a spot close for pats; sometimes even placing my little paws on your chest. I snuffle when I purr so it sounds a bit funny. My foster carer thinks it's absolutely adorable!
Now I've been in the wars from my past and I look a little rough round the edges - it's all like the saying: don't judge a book by its cover. I could tell a story or two about living life on the streets. It just gives me character. As I said, I'll be your best friend. Just give me a chance!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I live with other resident cats, foster cats, kittens and a crazy Kelpie; we are friends. I would do OK with another cat friend or cat-savvy doggo (if I can live with a crazy Kelpie anything could work). And my foster hooman. She is obsessed with me!
Likes / Dislikes
I loves head scritches and body pats. I love my food and I eat all things food and chicken - gimme some! I drink water well too. Plus I'm a good boy with my litter tray.
I can be often found playing with toys, it's so much fun. I love finding me a comfy spot to sleep - bed and a tower are favs, lounge chairs suit me too.
I shy away from the vacuum and prefer to come to you for pats as I get overwhelmed sometimes. I would do great with a safe room or space to adapt to first, then allow me to come out of my shell and love you back.
My PURR-fect home would be a family home; older children would suit me great as I can be shy at first. I could be your only love and best friend easily. Slow introduction would help me settle in and understand my new home.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

11035 - Barry
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: White & Tabby
DOB: 19/07/2022
Adoption Fee: $50 as part of our Valentine's Day Special
Barry's adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination*, microchip, flea and worm treatment.
*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.
Medical Notes: Barry has Symblepharon in the left eye, which is the adherence of the third eyelid to the conjunctiva, partially covering the cornea. This is a permanent defect and while it can be removed it will recur so surgery is not a curative option. While the presence of the film is extensive it is not very dense and although vision will be hazy, Barry can see through it and vision should not be compromised to any significant degree.
Barry has an old break in the middle of his tail. It has healed slightly kinky, but is not causing him any issues and does not require any treatment.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage and Advocate from Elanco Animal Health for all of your new furry family members’ flea and worming needs
