About Stella
Please ensure you can attend a meet and greet.
Are you looking for a best friend – someone that is happy to be in your personal space at all times? If the answer is yes – then look no further – Meet me - I’m Stella the 1 year and 10 month young Dachshund!
My foster mum says I am one of the loveliest dachshunds she has ever meet - She says that I am a bit embarrassing going out for walks and to the beach with - apparenlty I am not to stop, drop and roll on to my back and show my belly to new people just cause they make eye contact with me or smile / acknowledge me.
My foster mum has said that I apparently have no concept of stranger danger and will go to anyone who will let me. I really like humans - love a cuddle and a kiss and a wag of my tail showing how happy I am !
I came into care and the rescue suspected I was pregnant - nope thank god! So the rescue has made sure all my vet work has been completed and I am ready for my furever home.
I am currently living with some other dogs of all sizes - most of them don't bother me at all - I really only have eyes for my humans - so would be happy to be an only dog or with one other dog - probably a dashie be best!
When I did come into care I would do this loud scream when another dog came near me but my foster mum told me that was nonsense and yeah it kind of was ha ha ha - I don't do that anymore.
I live with a 10 year old kid - kids dont' bother me at all - happy to live with one, just means more cuddles and attention to me.
My foster mum has said I probably won't be a issue with cats - simply as like other dogs I will just ignore them!
I love to go for a walk and meet people. I love to be all cute and innocent and roll over on my back and show my belly or I will curl up in a strangers lap for a cuddle - my foster mum keeps joking about no stranger danger awareness - stranger just means they are waiting to be my friend - yeah?
I love when company comes to visit because it means more attention for me – did I say that I was just a happy go lucky girl who just loved life yet??
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home – I’m still young so I would like to be a part of my families’ lives and go places with them.
I'm good in the car for driving and especially love having a booster seat which means I can look out the window and watch where we are going.
I do sleep on my foster mums bed and this is something I would like to continue with – I mean just think we can snuggle on the couch and then snuggle in bed together (after you have told me how cute I am at least 3 times that day!)
Whilst I am a absolutely loving fun girl, I would like a home where someone is home more often then not, or retired, or someone who can take me with them to work - I am happy to say hello to the people and then curl up in my dog bed and snooze while you work.
I would need a home that would give me a few days to settle in and not simply leave me outside and then go out - let me settle in and get into a routinue with you to know that you will be back.
I have also decided I actually don't mind a crate for short periods of time while your out but wouldn't be a dog who could do a full day.
My foster mum says I give the biggest welcome when she gets home - dashie owners know what she means!
I love food and that is also a helpful thing while I'm settling in.
I can't wait to meet you and hopefully you will fall in love with me like I do with people!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
