New year, new Nanala
Meet Nanala, a special girl searching for the right human(s) to call her own. She’s not just looking for any human, though—she’s searching for someone who will continue to help her thrive and build on the amazing progress she’s already made with her foster carers.
When she arrived in care, Nanala was drastically underweight, with multiple skin concerns and a body showing the effects of being used continuously for breeding. Thanks to the love and care she’s received, she has come along in leaps and bounds, getting stronger and healthier by the day.
Nanala is clever, eager to please, and incredibly food-driven (we’re sure there’s Labrador in her). Once she feels comfortable with you, she reveals her playful and goofy side—zoomies, funny antics, and lots of snuggles are all part of her charm. She’s happiest when spending time with her foster carers, whether playing or curling up for cuddles.
Despite her rough start, Nanala is perfectly toilet-trained and has never had an accident indoors. She’s also well-behaved when left home alone for long periods while her foster carers are at work, as long as she has some enrichment activities to keep her busy.
She walks well on a lead and is steadily learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. While she can still be timid and jumpy in new environments, she’s getting better every day. Nanala is learning to build her confidence when meeting new people. Though she may bark at first, this stems from nervousness rather than aggression. With continued training and patience, she’s proving she can grow more comfortable in these situations.
Nanala will be best suited to a home without small children, as her zoomies can be energetic, and she may jump up when excited. She also needs to be the only dog in the home to ensure she can relax and bond fully with her new family. She is untested with cats.
The meet-and-greet process for her adoption will require patience, as Nanala is still nervous around new people. Her initial reaction may include barking or growling out of fear, but this is not aggression—she just needs time and reassurance to feel safe. Once she trusts you, her heart is yours forever. She’ll shower you with endless love, snuggles, and loyalty.
Nanala is a goofy, lovable girl who’s eager to learn and respond to kindness. She’s made huge strides in a short time and is ready for a family who will help her continue to flourish.
If you think you have what it takes to give Nanala the fresh start she so deserves, we’d love to hear from you.
