About Albert
Albert came into care when he was just under eight weeks old with his brother, Alfred, in poor condition. After some TLC, Alfred was adopted shortly afterwards, but Albert is still in care ten months later! This handsome boy has had little interest, which we cannot believe because he is the best boy ever! Albert is a very playful and entertaining dog, and he is always trying to get his foster brothers to play with him and having silly moments. He lives with three other male dogs with no issues, and would adore having another dog for company in his forever home. Albert has not been tested with cats or other animals.
He loves nothing more than going for walks and having a swim at the local creek. He enjoys playing fetch as well, and can fetch a ball or stick. Albert would be the perfect dog for someone who likes going on adventures, whether that be camping or hiking. He has only ever been an outside dog so he hasn’t been house or crate trained. However, he is lead-trained, travels well in a car, knows ‘sit’ and to wait for his food, and his recall is slowly improving.
His carer says that Albert is calm and relaxed throughout the day, spending most of it lying around with his favourite foster brother. However, once the afternoon (and walk time!!) arrives, he is full of beans and ready to go! Albert’s ideal forever family will have another dog already, for Albert to become fast friends with, and we would love to see him with an adventurous or active family, but welcome all applicants!⠀
**PLEASE NOTE ** All animals will be vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, and up to date with preventatives (fleas, ticks, mites etc) at time of adoption. All dogs over 6 months at time of intake are also tested for heartworm, and treated if positive. If animals are too young for desexing at time of adoption, a desexing voucher will be provided to the adopter.
